The demise of the PC3000
Anyone whose plant runs using a Eurotherm PC3000 may be forgiven for feeling pretty bewildered right now at just how fast Eurotherm has dropped selling and supporting this enduring and popular product.
The Eurotherm PC3000 has proved to be an extremely reliable product and the majority of users worldwide have not yet considered retiring their efficient, robust and flexible workhorse control system. In addition, Eurotherm’s newer offerings, such as the 2500, although strong products in their own right, do not offer any continuity in either hardware or software - the applications written for the PC3000 cannot be ported into the 2500 and the hardware is completely different.
There has long been a problem getting PC3000 assistance, particularly on site, from Eurotherm.
